MrWunderful | 2,926 Posted May 29, 2021 Author Share Posted May 29, 2021 (edited) I have decided to go through the immense time consuming task of cleaning every NES game and seeing if it needs a condition upgrade, and testing/playing each Title. All Alphabetical order, opening each game and cleaning thoroughly while seeing if battery needs replacement. I generally don’t clean games as they enter my collection, but I am going to start. this is something I have never done but always wanted to, as I have only actually played 10- 20% of the licensed games. I will post loose thoughts, any interesting cart markings or rental stickers, or comments on games. But shitty games I will most likely verify they work only. Early on I wasn’t as worried about condition as I should have been and assume 20-60 games will need replacement. Im finished cleaning through Battle chess, battle of Olympus is next. MrWunderful | 2,926 Posted July 13, 2021 Author Share Posted July 13, 2021 I was reading @Reed Rothchild SNES rankings list and got a weird Snes boner that felt good so I went with it. Already had some decent stuff, so decided to start knocking off some of the heavy rpgs long term with beat em’ ups/platformers in between. Threw Chrono in, got to the final zeal/ lavos fight but think I might be under leveled and got whooped after I mixed up my party right before the battle. Kind of gave up, maybe will throw it back in one day and wrap it up. Looks great on the nt. Next up is FF3 because its so highly regarded (only have played ff7, and 15) going into it raw, no walkthrough. Few hours in. Im becoming an expert at removing labels- but keeping the rental stickers I can. Maybe ill do some before and afters. Some of these squares were beat Also, the 5/3 screw collection is filling out nicely: Going through and cleaning all these games has been a shit ton of work, but therapeutic for me.
