It does surprise me, as a complete non-sports fan myself, but yeah there are TONS of NBA, NHL, NFL etc. games on the PAL list. Admittedly there aren't AS many as in the US, for example only 2 Maddens instead of like 5, but there are still loads! They must have sold well enough, as most of them are really REALLY cheap, although as always there are those odd ones here and there that are more obscure, such as NBA in the Zone 2000.
