You know, I've never played Blitz, but I've always wanted too because of this very reason.  I remember occasionally seeing friends play it and thinking it seemed a bit crazy and might be fun.

Blitz is basically borderline no rules football.  Not a fan of the sport but watched the last one made (n64) when I was at Midway in 2001.  NHL Hitz 2002 was more my speed, no rules hockey, do some real damage.

My personal favorite of the series. My cousins and I would play Tag at the School level for hours. I also have a memory card the has all my create-a-map levels on it.

I gave it a 9.  Absolutely love the game.  Definitely in my top 50.  Not so sure it's on my top 25.

I played it so much I got every gap.  And some of those were pretty hidden.

Destroyed this game and it's probably my favourite of the series. The manuals really added to the game without it becoming too saturated with trick variations. The levels were also a nice balance before they became over the top ridiculous (for the most part). THPS 2 and 3 were the sweet spot for me even though I played right through past Wasteland. An easy 8... almost went 9 if there was a little more to it.
