Prior to my son being born, we spent every Christmas at my mother in law's house, so we never put up a tree. Once my son was born, I convinced my wife that we should finally get and put one up. My son got so excited at seeing it, we started a tradition of setting it up in his room. Needless to say, it's gotten tougher and tougher to manage to sneak in and drop off Santa presents each year! The year before last, he actually woke up while I was in the process of setting up one of his big gifts and I quickly convinced him that he'd almost caught Santa and needed to go back to sleep ASAP if he wanted him to come back and finish leaving him presents.
