DarkTone | 1,039
If you could create your own competition cart, what would be on it? Would it have 3 games? What platform? What time limit? I would have one like: 3 games. 7 minutes. Nes. All konami games. Metal Gear - get to a certain point without being spotted. Castlevania - get 4000 points and Contra - as many points with the remaining time. Not sure on multipliers. What would yours be? 4 Link to comment https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/3434-your-competition-cart/ Share on other sites

T-Pac | 8,443
Really fun prompt here, @DarkTone! Star Soldier - play through stage 1 (1 life) for a high score. Bubble Bobble - get through the first 5 screens as fast as possible (Star Soldier score is reduced based on time spent). Pipe Dream - play through level 1-1 for a high score. -CasualCart 3 1 Link to comment https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/3434-your-competition-cart/#findComment-71890 Share on other sites

Tulpa | 3,771
Ninja Gaiden, beat the first level, score based on overall score (enemies killed + time left + time left beating first boss.) Eliminator Boat Duel, get the fastest time in the second race (first race is too easy, you hold A down to win.) Guardian Legend, score as many points as possible in the first shooter level. OptOut | 9,272
Mine would be N64 based. Three games, no time limit but all points will be awarded based on fastest total time. 1. Super Mario 64 - Reach and beat the first Bowser as quickly as possible. No glitches, you gotta get the necessary Stars. Start the timer as soon as you enter Peach's Castle. 2. Goldeneye 007 - Beat Facility on 00 agent completing all objectives as quickly as possible. No cheats. Start the timer as soon as you press A to begin the level from the menu screen. You can die as many times as you like, but the clock keeps counting even if you die. 3. Mario Kart 64 - Beat the Mushroom Cup on 150cc in the fastest possible time. Add up the 4 mushroom cup race times in your first run for your score. Only one run allowed, no restarts or spliced runs. I feel these three genres and these three games best represent the N64. The challenges seem relatively balanced too, you may not be so good in one of the games, but you could theoretically make up time if you are good in two of the others. I might actually give this one a go for real, lol! 2 Link to comment https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/3434-your-competition-cart/#findComment-76084 Share on other sites

RH | 5,422
For Game Boy. 10 minute competition 1. Solar Striker - Level 1 - Play until finished or you die. Extra points for beating the level. Points scaled to match the other games. 2. Duck Tales - The Mines Level - Play until finished or you die. Extra points for beating the level. Points scaled to match the other games. 3. Tetris - Start at level 9. Play until competition timer runs out or you fill the screen. Base game for scores scaling in other games. Round 1 is easy, round 2 is tougher and Tetris is what it is until the clock runs out.
