  1. 1. Rating explanations down below

    • 10/10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
    • 9/10 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.
    • 8/10 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
    • 7/10 - Very good, but not quite great.
    • 6/10 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
    • 5/10 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
    • 4/10 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
    • 3/10 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.

    • 2/10 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people might like this, but you are not one of them.

    • 1/10 - Horrible in every way.
      0
    • 0/10 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

Went with 8.   Was originally thinking a 7, but then realized I enjoy every single song you posted so that pushed them into 8 territory.

That is what pushed me to a 9.

It is hard to not break out into a Night-at-the-Roxbury-like-dance when their music comes on.

Because they have had fairly prolific radio play for 35+ years.

I never really listened to the radio.

I'm confident as I say that I've heard at least 2 of their songs. I love BttF so I know the song Power of Love. Didn't know who sang it though, I've never heard of the band and never cared to look it up.

Huey Lewis is also the judge that dismissed Marty's band because they're "too darn loud".

I actually saw Huey Lewis and the News with my aunts when I was in 3rd grade (my first ever concert).  I remember waiting to get in for HOURS, that we had seats on the 2nd or 3rd row and that I came home with a t-shirt which I proudly rocked at school.  We all loved the album Sports but jeez I haven't thought of ole Huey in many years.  He always seemed more like your Little League coach than a rock star.

Adult Contemporary artists were norm-core before that was even a thing.  And now that's passed, right?  It's crazy though, guys from the late-70s-80s have this "I'm a Dad" vibe and that was cool.  How was that possible, and how do we get back there?
