profholt82 | 60 Posted April 17, 2020 Share Posted April 17, 2020 I like his earlier stuff, but Natural Born Killers is sort of where he went off the deep end with the hyper-kinetic music video editing style that I personally don't care for. It's worth seeing the movie once, as there is some worthwhile stuff in it, but compared to Alien? I mean, come on. Alien is an all time sci-fi horror classic whose impact shaped the genre for years to come while Natural Born Killers is a largely experimental movie which is not even considered among Stone's better works. Like I said, there is some worthwhile stuff in it, as much of the movie acts as a critique on 90s media and cultural sensibilities; albeit, in a highly exaggerated manner, but compared to Alien, it's no contest.
