Link | 2,975
Whenever I have a message on ebay, if there’s any type of back and forth, it’s just a huge mess of code. This is in the app, in the email notification, in the website whether viewed in Safari (iPhone), Firefox/ Chrome /Internetexplorer (Windows 8 ) . Seems to be a problem on every platform. Usually, I can just read the top line and know what the other party says. But today, I asked for pictures, and in the reply... can’t see them. I did a CTRL-F find on the page for “jpg”, and the only instance was the generic picture in the listing. I saved the code as a HTML file, and it’s just the interface given to the seller to notify of the question. No thumbnail as described in the snark-ass solution offered here. Nor the calmer suggestion here. I went to Account settings > Communication preferences > Delivery options and chose h t m l (pictures) Still no luck. Wtf is this? How is ebay one of the biggest internet companies unable to display shit in a normal way?
