Here are the rest of the components for the system. I did this on the cheap.  You could lay down a boat of money chasing the best sound.

Pre-amp (if you need it) $50:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0002BG2R2/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_inactive_ship_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Amp (the model I have was discontinued, but this is the replacement) $25: https://www.amazon.com/Lepy-LP-2020A-Digital-Amplifier-Stereo/dp/B00C2P61FO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=LP-2020A%2B+Lepai+Tripath&qid=1583803704&sr=8-3

Book Shelf Speakers $50: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009IUIV4A?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Speaker wire: Your choice (lower gauge = thicker wire)

Edit: I think getting a good record player at a reasonable price is the easier part.  All the other components have more room for debate.  You could spend an insane amount of money depending on your definition of good sound.

New gear day is best day ❤️  Not videogame per say, but just replaced my preamp and main amp with tube amps! Been looking for an amp this size to fit on my tiny table. The separate power supply enclosure was also a nice touch.

Replaced the stock tubes with higher end ones. Gold Lion EL34 and GE 5654W all 'round.

I have the smaller model, Gemtune Pa1501a. Love it!

My turn to show off a little!

These are what I've played through so far in my collection:

Fun Facts: The Mega Man Collection in the center was a secret Santa gift I got last year. The Ninja Turtles soundtrack I learned about through NA before the disaster happened, and the Katamari Damacy soundtrack was the final copy from the third pressing.

These will be played after I beat their respective games:

This guy is being played later tonight after it arrived on my porch today:

And wile not gaming related, I just wanted to show these four off - the two on the right are local finds that I just really love listening to, and the two on the left were sent to me as gifts from some friends of mine who work at Adult Swim.

I also owe this topic a thank you, because when I dug all these played records out of my collection, I noticed I unintentionally bought quite a few duplicate George Carlin LPs, that I can now sell or use as trade bait for other vinyls.

The bootleg video game vinyl resale market can get crazy.

Damn I didn't know that it was that crazy. I sold the Zelda vinyl for around $300? Maybe $350 years ago but I figured it was just bc it was the first one of the lot. And Zelda lol I remember trying to sell the pokemon one at the same time for $100 and got no bites.
