That's odd. A complete playthrough seems like a completion. Every world record seems like it would just be a bonus.

I agree, but them'z the rules now. Anyway, I just spent 1/2 hour getting an uncoordinated chick to dive for a frisbee and freakin catch it.

Verdict: Disc Golf is pretty painful to WR; Surfing is hard but not too bad with some practice; the other 4 are really easy assuming you RTFM.

@scaryice California Games is done now

Well, congrats on the completion. No doubt now. You crushed it!

Nice work! You're now solidly ahead of me for 5th place. F15 is one of those games nobody wanted to play, so congrats on that one too.

Nice clear! Was the manual helpful for surfing strategy? I have the controls down and have always gotten good marks, but I dont think I have ever got he wr and couldn't figure out why.

Congrats on two more big clears and top 5. Thats especially impressive with you having done so many RPGs and the KOE games especially.

I started with a 360, then keep doing 30s until you have just enough space for a 60, and repeat, and don't wash out at the end. Got me an 8.6

Nice work guys. I hope to help out for at least one more clear. I was briefly giving QBert a go but couldn’t handle it’s difficulty. The isometric jumping was hard  on my brain. Avoiding the enemies is very tough. Then you get into the polarity element...yikes. Mad Respect for anyone taking that beast down. @Tablew/chairs nice work!

Hopefully I’ll have a bit of time to work on Kung fu heroes.

What's the record for the quickest completion of all of the games? I think there was a chart somewhere, but I'm hoping someone knows so I don't have to try to find it.

I thought there was a year that all of the games were finished in June. 2015 must have been a busy year to have every game finished by June 12. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the games this year are finished by the end of July though.

You can have it this year if you want. I tried it last night and got nowhere. Read the manual for how to do weightlifting and didn't find it helpful. I won't be able to get back to it til late next week. Certainly won't be disappointed if you off it in the meantime.

For weightlifting, there's a lack of visual cues, so you really just need to get a feel for it.  All you're doing for the snatch is holding down, then up, then down, then up, then down (waiting a moment before switching directions).  Figuring out how long that moment is is what you need to get a feel for.  The clean and jerk is the same thing but with an extra up and down.  Heavier weights just make it so there's a shorter moment when it's okay to switch directions.

I finally bit the time bullet and did Back to the Future II/III.  Although the controls are slippery and the hit detection is a little off it's actually a decent game.  Part III could really be its own game, i've assuredly played shorter and crappier NES games.  There is a ton of value here for someone ambitious enough to map out part II, you really would have gotten your money's worth with this game.  Overall it was better than I would have imagined.

Wow, only 25 left! @scaryice, was looking at last year's thread and you posted what games were going up and down in points the following year. Are we down to few enough to make those determinations? That will be really fun to see.

Yeah, I have that info. I'll post it in a sec.

BTW, VegaVegas is the guy formerly known as MaarioS. I knew it was him because he always beats Jungle Book every year.

Hi @scaryice, I need another adjudication on F-117 Stealth Fighter. I beat all the 6 primary missions in the manual. Is that sufficient? That would be the requirement analogous to F-15 Strike Eagle.

Edit: Never mind, I looked at TMR's playthrough and apparently there is an ending sequence after beating the secret missions, so I guess I need to do that?

It looks that way. It appears that you do get a parade after all of that.
