N.A. Sega Genesis/CD/32X/CDX/X’EYE/Nomad Console Box Collectors Guide

While there are several collector's guides for games themselves, I've noticed there doesn’t seem to be a good list of console box variants anywhere. There is an old list on the Sega-16 forum from ~10 years ago, but it only covers some of the Genesis Model 2's variants, and unfortunately all of the image links are long-defunct. So I spent some time these past few weeks researching and putting together a list and images of all the variants for the North American Genesis models 1-3, CD model 1 & 2, 32X add-on, CDX, X’EYE, and Nomad that I could find. I’ll break this up into a few posts due to the number of images. Front and back images have been provided, where available.
Note: This should not be regarded as a complete list, I will update it as more are found/images provided, so please feel free to contribute!

Genesis Model 1
US Base System (No Pack-in) Variants
1)    Base model – game not included, "The Core System" badge in bottom-right corner, “Join the 16-Bit Revolution” badge in top-left corner:

Refurbished/Reconditioned
While looking for variants, I found a handful of various consoles with one of the three following gray triangle-shaped stickers in the corner:
“This product has been reconditioned to its original specifications for electrical performance. It has been 100% tested by Sega of America, Inc. The electrical performance of this product is warranted under the terms of our written limited warranty. This warranty does not apply to the cosmetic appearance of this product.”
“This product has been reconditioned to its original specifications by Majesco Sales, Inc. The electrical performance of this product is warranted under the terms of our written limited warranty. This warrant does not apply to the cosmetic appearance of this product.”
“Refurbished or remanufactured and 100% inspected by Sega of America, Inc. Manufacturer’s original limited warranty applies”

I don’t feel these should be counted as true variants as they were likely just returned products that were repaired/tested and resold, but it’s worth noting they’re out there. Here are the examples I found:

Many carts with NFR stickers came out of Model 2 console boxes. This Sega-16 list may give a little insight for some possible systems missing from your list:

Thanks! Yea it took some time to go thru and find all these examples then piece the pictures together, but I think it was well worth the effort. Hopefully it will be helpful to others! I already see a few titles in this list that aren't listed above, so I'll have to be on the lookout for console box pictures!

Nice work. I think I can help further flush out that list. One of the CIB Genesis consoles in my collection is a WalMart store exclusive sports bundle. The box is a Model 2 Core System box with a sticker slapped over the Core System label along with different cardboard internals.

Unfortunately, whoever owned the box originally scratched off most of the sticker on the front of the box, so I included a shot of the side profile:

Major update! So I found out that apparently SegaRetro already had a list of console box variants for the model 1/2 Genesis (though incomplete and not very detailed), so I've been able to add over 20 new variants to my list! Included are new core systems, US pack in variants, and Canadian variants! The one thing I've still not been able to find are any Mexican system variants, there must be at least one given that they at least had Chavez II as a Mexican-exclusive release...
