Nice video, thanks for sharing.

We had all the Mega Man games growing up, though we had MM2 and MM3 first (we got MM2 from my aunt and uncle as a Christmas gift and then got MM3 for Christmas that same year). Later we would get the rest of the series, so I have nostalgia for all of them.

By now, MM2 has to be my favorite of these two, though MM3 would be my second favorite. I agree with you on most of the points in the video. I prefer 2 as it is shorter, which makes it easier to function as a quick "it's getting late and I should be heading to bed but I'd like to have one more beer and do some gaming" title than 3. Furthermore, although I love the concept of (and playing through) the revisited stages of MM3, I really do hate the boss fights as they can be a bitch, cementing 2 as the victor in my mind.

Regarding Top Spin, we always felt it was a joke weapon - extremely powerful yet took a lot of practice to get good using it.

Are the pencil sketches of the characters yours? I really like all the little touches you put into your videos, like those and the text effects and the other illustrations, and your unique review format.

Do you know about the Controller II tricks?

Those pencil sketches are in fact me, yes! Thank you so much for noticing and appreciating those. I grew up drawing, and these videos are an excuse to keep that skill going!

We do know about the controller 2 tricks! Josh was just telling me he didn't include them as he feels they were more of a debug thing, which means they were intentionally left in by developers for them to easily work w the game, etc. We didn't really lock down the definition of "buggy", so it can get weird at times!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting dude, for real.

I'm in the process of editing MM4 now, as well as whipping up some new sketches! 😎

I have so much nostalgia for the classic MM series. My neighbor in my childhood town had them all on the NES, and they always captivated me. Top Spin is tricky as hell to nail! Thank you so much for watching!
