Stormdude | 2
I have been collecting for a very long time. Mainly Nintendo related things. But the other day i got hold of a Nintendo Entertainment system Asian Version. And this is something that I have never encountered before during my years. Maybe it is something that is everywhere and I have not just seen it because I live far away from Asia or something. There is not to much information that I manage to find via google or for example latest sold auctions on e-bay. I do however know that this console was purchased in Singapore at some time. Photoalbum of the Nintendo via the link below https://ibb.co/album/4WRcjh Anyone have any idea about what this should be valued to? Thanks in advance! Stormdude | 2
Only information that I can find about it is pretty much this https://consolevariations.com/collectibles/nes-console-asia
CT | 175
I have the Asian version of Pinball. Pretty neat. From my understanding, these Asian versions came out because there was so many bootlegs in that area, SE Asia. Also the instruction manuals came in a few different languages. As for value, just like the Hong Kong versions in one post before yours, there’s some value but it fluctuates as it’s more of an oddity in the U.S.

Stormdude | 2
Thanks CT I have tried to google about it but I can only seem to find fragments of information. Like that 10.000 - 50.000 units were made, but then the pictures show different variations of the product on the site with the information, So I dont know if the number is for all Asian versions ever created, or for each specific variation of it. I translated an Unboxing video from Youtube where they spoke Indonesian and according to that video there should be some kind of collector value. However, maybe this is also something that only is of interest in Asia for collectors. From my perspective I do find it pretty cool, but not something that is a must have for myself in my collection. Here in the Nordics the most common collecting are the SCN versions of the NES games, and ofcourse REV-A as well, as we only got 210 NES releases as SCN. So I was kind of surprised when this one was found, near where I live and from someone that was bot a collector. Also the video confirmed that all the documentation was included in this one as well, which was nice. Seem like there are several different versions of it. With and without SOQ on the box. The one with SOQ also have markings on the flaps below the lid. The one without SOQ does not. And there was also the Action Set and maybe the set that included Rob as well (not sure) I cant find any ebay auctions with sold CIB Asian NES console sets, so valuewise I have some problems to find information. I did see at one place that a CIB action set sold for about 300 USD +shipping, but it was a several years old auction. So based on that I do believe it could be used as some kind of a ball park number, however, it is not the same set or variation, it would be really nice to have a updated price to lean on. CT | 175
Yeah your values are prob accurate. It’s just such an oddity, not a lot of demand, don’t see them here in U.S. etc. Which means it’s worth what’s somebody is going to pay for it. I paid $40 for my Asian version pinball because it was worth that to me and I had an EBay gift card
Stormdude | 2
Fair enough Thanks alot for your input CT. I will probably hold on to it until I find someone who "needs" it more than I do.
CT | 175
Sounds like a good plan. It’s a niche item, but someone out there may want it like variant collectors.
