Super Bros | 2
I’ve been slowly restoring this vintage pinball table for the fun of owning a real table. I know many people like virtual pinball but I prefer the authenticity of even the most basic table (which mine is super basic).
Tanooki | 5,135
That's one of those faux real pinball but not quite there things from the late 70s, a 2/3 size but with some serious limitations, mainly where the flippers annoyingly and only pop both at the same time whatever button you hit. It's a decent but not highly detailed table otherwise but works. I remember this when I had pins and was part of that pinside forum, here's a link to the table. You'll see at the top you can find every forum entry about it, pictures, other data, etc. Since you didn't say what the problem was here, maybe it's there. https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/star-explorer
a3quit4s | 4,373
It's all fun and games till the they stop working! Pinside is the best pinball resource on the web @Tanooki but I am fortunate to live within five miles of Steve Young's Pinball Resource, that dude is a walking encyclopedia. Sometimes I go there for parts and he will ask me what's wrong and correct the parts I need with part numbers from memory lol
CT | 175
Just beware of the forums on Pinside. I've seen so many (presumed) grown men arguing about wild speculation and games they haven't seen or played yet. Super toxic forum. I'm sure some posts are ok but the 'hype' threads are garbage. I think every time I have posted something where I need help, people have always tried to be super helpful even though I'm not ever active there. I do a lot of my own troubleshooting first and at least try to read schematics before posting so they do appreciate that. 1
Tanooki | 5,135
I never said to register there, the forum is open to use the documents and searches. What I did see on this semi-legit pinball machine was like 5+ pages deep of stuff, at least a 100 threads on info about it, repairs, problems, so I figured a basic search either in forum or a ctrl+f on a key word or two would get the help. I think I vaguely remember the off topic stuff on games or whatever having the grown whiner syndrome, but I never got into that off topic garbage much at all. Most of what I saw, the post above.
