BirdDogGaming | 221
I've got one of those fun "run to your shelf and see which variant you have" scenarios for you. Plus I need some help. If you own a North American copy of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, I just learned about a glitch in the original release of the game. According to a Reddit post, there was a glitch in early prints of the game that would not allow you to transfer your "Easy mode" file of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance onto Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. And according to someone in the replies of the Reddit post, Nintendo addressed this by allowing you to send in your disc and they would replace it for you with a new disc with the error corrected. On the data side of the disc, you'll want to look for code RVL-RFEE-0A-1. This individual stated the disc was replaced but the original case and manual were not, as far as they can remember. The code in question is located here: How can you help? I want to fill in the table below. Please share pictures of both of the following if you have access to a copy of the game: Back of the disc where I can clearly see the code (like in the image above) Legible picture of the back of the game's case (or rather, the game's artwork insert). Bonus: If you have a white ESRB 64288C release of the game, I want to record the "Disc Code, Front" which is shown here: I predict this will go one of two ways: (Unlikely) This disc variant was only available by sending your disc in to Nintendo and getting a replacement, like the individual in the Reddit post I linked. This would obviously mean this variant is very rare. (More likely) Because we know there are at least 4 variants of this game, Nintendo could have included the corrected disc in later printings of the game. This could mean the revised disc was included with every white ESRB copy of the game. That's why I'm looking for assistance from you all. Maybe all white ESRB discs have the RVL-RFEE-0A-1 disc. Maybe they all have something completely different with the error corrected. Maybe all of the variants have the error still on the disc. I have no clue, but let's find out together. Shoutout to the X Button Gaming podcast for making me aware of this variant in the first place. B.A. | 1,141
I bought my copy on release date, and 100% called Nintendo because my easy mode save wouldn't transfer. I remember going online and that being a known issue, Nintendo put out a statement asking people to do that if they were having the issue. I wasn't in the habit of calling Nintendo. It was because the Japanese version of Path of Radiance didn't have an easy mode.
AlternatorDelux | 68
Disc says RVL-RFEE-0A0 JPN. That was the absolute best photo I could get on a cheap phone.

Or was it just the disc? When you received the revised disc, was it just the disc, or did you get a new case and/or manual with it? Curious if the case you have shown in the picture is your original case you purchased on release date, or if Nintendo sent you a new case.
B.A. | 1,141
If memory serves I sent in just the disc and they sent a replacement disc.
xelius | 1
Because we were discussing this on discord, I'm now the proud owner of two copies of this game (i.e. I bought an additional copy for "research") From the cover, they look identical but the left one is 64287A and the right one is 64288A. Initially I thought the barcodes were different, but they're the same except the smaller barcode (left having 00100 and right have 00000) which I was told is used to identify Made in USA vs Made in Japan, and sure enough the left one was made in the US and the right one was made in Japan. The discs are identical on the front and both have the code RVL-RFEE-USA. My manuals are identical down to the code on the back. The underside of the discs is different, though, with the left one having code RVL-RFEE-0A-1 USA and the right one having RVL-RFEE-0A-0 JPN Edited 14 hours ago by xelius Removed extra unrequired images that persisted
xelius | 1
I don't know why it won't get rid of those two extra images on the bottom. I tried removing them twice with no success. Never mind... I got it Edited 14 hours ago by xelius
