2024 VGS NES Weekly Contest - Kickle Cubicle

Ladies and gentlemen, once more the terror of 2017 is allowed to live and bring terror to this world.

The seal that was holding the curse was broken and Kickle from Kickle Cubicle is once again free to haunt these lands.

Here are the rules you have to follow to seal him once again:

• Play until you die the first time or beat the game.
• Secure your score before going into a boss battle.  You cannot see your score or lives remaining while fighting a boss.
• If you are able to make it to the final boss battle on one life, secure your score before going into the fight (you earn no points for boss battles)
• Playing the special rounds is not allowed
• Use the password PhhW aUBg to start at Toy Land Stage F.
• Highest score wins
• GENRE: Puzzle

The contest ends Sunday, 09/01/22 at 8 PM EST time.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun.

14th seems about right. Not sure how I would have lost lives. I lost one and then paused right away.

You're supposed to use the code PhhW aUBg and play through "Toy Land" starting on Stage F.

I kept meaning to play this and put it off thinking I had more time. I like being given 2 weeks but it also encourages procrastination.
