Yoshi 8 Member ·
I recently picked up Area 51 for the PS1 and I tried using the Namco GunCon and it did not appear to work. The manual mentions light guns, but does not provide any specific manufactures. I only had the GunCon to test. I want to surprise my dad with this game. We used to play it all of the time in arcades. Thank you. Edited November 26, 2019 by Yoshi
cj_robot 439 Member ·
Area 51 is not compatible with the GunCon, which pretty much only works with Namco's Point Blank and Time Crisis games. I believe any other non-Namco gun should work, like Konami's Justifier, but they're a bit harder to find. Remember that those light guns only work on old CRT televisions as well. MachineCode 159 Member ·
+1 for Konami Justifier. I could swear I remember a Sony one from before Time Crisis came out but I can’t find anything about it so I am probably wrong about that.
