Nice to see some PC games mentioned. You should play Fountain of Dreams if you haven't given it a try yet. It was supposed to be a Wasteland sequel and was quite good. My answers are all pretty generic as they are all popular franchises

Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! (NES), Super Punch Out!! (SNES) and Punch Out!! (Wii). All three are great games even if the Wii version is basically a remake of the original.

Maybe Wolfenstein 3D - Doom - Quake. Maybe the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. Maybe SM64 - Super Mario Sunshine - Super Mario Odyssey. Starcraft - Diablo II - Warcraft 3. I can't think of one threesome where everything is a 10/10 all time favorite. All those have a B-lister to me (Wolf3D, NG2, Sunshine, WC3) even if I do really like the games.

First truly impactful (at least to me) threesome was Sega:

- Sonic, Revenge of Shinobi and Streets of Rage

Regarding Nintendo, the best gameplay and atmosphere immersion on 2D:

- Zelda LTTP, Super Mario World and Super Metroid.
